Julia Jean is a NYC based actor & director who hails from Vermont.

Hi! As stated above, my name IS Julia Jean and I’m an actor-director who hails from Northern Vermont and lives in West Harlem. I hold degrees in both Theater and British Literature from the University of Vermont and attended the Atlantic Acting School.

Whether onstage or off, my greatest love in life is a good story (hit me up if you have any good book recommendations).

I made my New York directorial debut with Thank You for Knowing Me (with Megan Piggott), and my second New York production — a site-specific Romeo and Juliet staged at St. John’s in the Village — is selling out quickly! Whether working with Shakespeare, new works, or TYA, I am eager to collaborate with an ensemble of actors to bring compelling stories to life and engage audiences.

I appeared most recently onstage in the Vermont premiere of Wharton, Between the Sheets at Middlebury Acting Company. I recently appeared onscreen in a micro-short titled Bittersweet, directed by Dylan LaRay and written by Will Carter.

I’m collaborating this weekend with Performing Art at Vassar College on an ensemble piece devised at the Lehman Loeb Museum.

(Also, please let me know if you have any new soup recipes, I’m always looking for new inspiration)
